Stansted airport

Stansted is the fourth largest airport in the UK (passenger numbers) already serving over 22 million passengers a year. It has permission to serve up to 25 million passengers, and is expected to reach this figure in around 2008. Most popular destinations are: Dublin, Glasgow, Rome, Franfurt. It`s located about 40min from London Center. In terms of growth Stansted is outstripping its bigger brethren at Heathrow and Gatwick and the trend is expected to continue. An influx of low-cost airlines, seeking a cheaper and more convenient alternative to London's major airports, has contributed to the boom.


How to get to and from Stansted?

The fastest way to reach central London (Liverpool Street) from Stansted Airport is on the Stansted Express. Trains depart every 15-30 minutes, with an average journey time of 45 minutes. There is also an hourly service from the airport to central London (Liverpool Street) that calls at all the principal stations on the way.

Stansted Express

Heathrow Express trains depart from Stansted every 15 minutes. Trains go to Liverpool Street station and that takes 45 minutes. Stansted Express trains have air-conditioning, ample luggage space, with dedicated areas for wheelchairs, and trains are level with station platforms for getting on and off easily with bags. You can collect your tickets from the machines situated at Heathrow Airport or Liverpool Station.

National Express Airport

National Express Airport coach services connect seven major UK airports with towns and cities across the country. Tickets can be purchased from the coach ticket desk in the arrivals area in the terminal (06:00 - 21:30) or in the coach station (24 hours a day, 7 days a week). Terravision Express Shuttle - London Victoria (Central London)

A non-stop service between Stansted Airport and London Victoria, departing from coach bay 26. The journey takes approximately 75 minutes.
